What is a Hunt?

We all hunted for Easter eggs as kids... well a hunt in SL is sorta the same thing.  A group of stores from around the grid make a special item as a prize that is themed around whichever hunt they are in.  There are dozens of hunts going on just about every day in SL!  There will generally be a starting point and a poster that shows you what the object  is that you are looking for.  Inside each of those objects is a gift from that store and generally a lm to the next store on the hunt.

In the last couple of years I've seen more hunts run with a web site that has all the stores in order with lm's and the clues to where to find the item.  Clues can also generally be found at each store just by clicking the hunt object on the poster.

Hunts can be anywhere from L$0 - L$10, but I stick to hunts L$2 and under (remember $1 us is about L$240 so it's pretty cheep).  In each hunt there will be amazing prizes and junk you want to immediately delete.  It's still a pretty cheep way to get just about anything you need in SL from clothes to furniture and decorations, animations to skins.  You never know what you will get, but it's always fun to find out!  You can get a general idea based on the theme and what the store sells, but you never know.  LOL

It's also a great way to find out about stores you might not otherwise have heard of and see all kinds of neat places in SL.  I'll keep you posted on the hunts I do.  I won't tell you what to avoid or what I don't  think you need to keep as every merchant works hard and is already being generous be a part of  the hunt.  That is for you to decide, but I will tell you things I don't think you should not miss!
